A Sum of Rupees 700 crores has been provided in the budget for FY 2016-17 under Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana.
Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY), the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India has been revamped to Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana(Grameen).
It is a public housing Scheme for the houseless poor people families and those living in dilapidated kutcha house. the Scheme is designed to enable below poverty line(BPL) households.
The Funds released to the Benificiaries is shared between Center & State in the ratio 60:40
The Nirman Sharmika Pucca Ghara Yojana is a Scheme is purely funded by the Odisha Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board with an annual budgetary outlay to be decided by the Board for each Financial Year which is subject to revision from time to time.
The unit cost under “Nirman Sharmika Pucca Ghar Yojana (NSPGY)” for new construction of Dwelling House is Rs.1.30 lakh for IAP benificiaries and Rs 1.20 lakh for non IAP benificiaries.
A Unit assistance under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (Gramin) and Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana has been revised to Rs. 1.30 lakh to IAP district and Rs. 1.20 lakh in Non-IAP district released of Installement to the benificiaries is made as per following structure:
