The Government of Odisha commits to provide pucca houses to all the houseless and those staying in Kutcha houses in rural area. In this endeavor following Schemes are implemented by Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department.

1. Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana(Grameen) (PMAY-G)

       Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY), the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India has been revamped to Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (Grameen). The houseless poor families and those living in two or less kutcha rooms are eligible for availing housing assistance to construct minimum of 25 Sq. Mtr. of house. The housing assistance is Rs. 1.30 Lakh in IAP District and Rs. 1.20 Lakh in Non-IAP Districts. Besides, through convergence with MGNREGS, the beneficiary avails Labor Component of 90 / 95 days (IAP-95, Non-IAP- 90) and Rs. 12,000/- for construction of toilet out of Swatch Bharat Mission (SBM) / MGNREGS.

2. PM JANMAN

       The scheme envisages upliftment of Primitive Tribal group through intervention in upliftment sector and housing is one of them. Primitive Tribal group are provided housing assistance of Rs. 2 lakhs for construction of 25 sq mtrs pucca house. This has benefitted the tribal group of odisha in 14 Districts.

3. Antyodaya Gruha Jojana

       The scheme aims at providing pucca house to the eligible household left out from the ongoing housing scheme, victim of natural/man made calamities, household displaced due to development project, differently abled person who is the main earning member of the family and FRA beneficiaries.
       Under Antyodaya Gruha Jojana(Spl) incentive is paid to beneficiaries of any rural housing scheme for early completion of house

4. Pucca Ghar Yojana(Mining) (PGY-M)

       All the kutcha households residing in 691 mining affected villages of 08 Districts viz. Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Koraput, Mayurbhanj & Sundargarh are provided pucca houses under Biju Pucca Ghar (Mining) scheme on saturation mode.
The scheme is funded by Odisha Mineral Bearing Areas Development Corporation (OMBADC) and implemented by Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department.

5. Nirman Shramik Pucca Ghar Yojana (NSPGY)

       Building and other construction workers having existing valid registration with the Odisha. Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board under the Building and other construction workers (RE&CS) Act at least for a period of 1 year are eligible for assistance under the “Nirman Sharmik Pucca Ghar Yojana”. This scheme is funded by Odisha Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (OB&OCWWB) and implemented by Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department. The unit assistance and installment pattern are same as with BPGY beneficiaries.
